"Talking to Sam..." Would that be Sam Goldwasser of Sam's Laser FAQ fame by any chance? (I've spoken with him a few times myself. Fascinating fellow! Sure wish he had time to check in here...)

    Yeah..
I asked him if he'd drop in, but he's kind of busy i guess.
He said for anyone here to feel free to email him.

    This is good news:

Aussie company Arasor and its stateside partner from the Silicon Valley Novalux say their combination of a unique optoelectronic chip and a laser projection device will be available by Christmas, 2007 and placed inside TVs made by companies such as Mitsubishi and Samsung.

Now if my buddy Harold the machinist would just get done with some metalwork (he takes forever) -but he's a precisionist (word?)

I'm sorry Karl... I really am. But I'm going to have to hunt you down and kill you after that last post.

No hard feelings pal. But that last one was over the top. Really.

    Just kidding!

there is a version that comes with one.. I still don't think it'd be much good for lightshow use...

8 channels, you can select what wavelength each channel is, and also the width from 1nm to 15nm.. but still... doubt it'd be very bright...

    GRRRRRRR....

Ok Jimbo - you just made the list. (Damn, now I have to fly to the Far East AND to the UK...)

And you should note, the offending letter (which shall remain absent) is *not* to be found anywhere in this message.
