Can I order immediately 2x combiner / knife edging modules suitable for the new OSRAM PLP520-B1 diodes - I may need more. I am a new member but have PayPal account and fedex number. I would like fast delivery if possible so do you have in stock
Another question, are you considering to add additional design version to add a focus ring for green long focal length Glass Lens?

Where exactly have you been in Kassel seeing so many boobylicious chicks at one place? Need to get there

hahaha i don't know where it was in Kassel.. It is more than 15 years ago
I think the girls are not hooking up guys from the street anymore.
Maybe they do their job in clubs now or something

I'm wondering what i can do with the Linear mount 2x2
I think the beam at short/close distance will not be very nice,
but at LARGE distance very bright
I wanna experiment with steering the upper beams tiny little bit towards downwards.
So the beam will overlap the bottom beams at large distance.
I don't know if i can obtaining that, but we will see
Only bad thing is the correction. I don't know what i can expect from that with 2x2
Maybe it's possible to do 2 corrections. 1 horizontal placed prism pair and 1 vertical placed prism pair..
I like to try that once so i know what i'm talking about instead of seeing and reading from all the posts.

Thanks for fast response and the quick handling of the order.

    Hi Sander,

When used 4 single mode diodes with the 3.8mm you don't have to correct them, just knife edge them with this set and your done!
Lasertack also sells very nice prism mirrors for knife edging, just check the pictures where they have been used.
You don't have to strear the beams down on the long range the beams will expand because of the divergence, and also as you use single mode diodes the divergence will be very low.
When using multimode diodes you can use correction optics like telescopics which could be used with the 2 x 2 set, but not everyone is using them, but you always have to use the collimator lenses in the mounts.

    Hé Bart,

Thanks for help & advice I use them for my 445's out of the laser-wave module (3pcs)
I wanne make better beamquality i also have 1 left from old laserpointer...
So i can make a quad (2x2) of it and built it in a edison housing (smaller than laser-wave module) (i have ordered 6 small ones en 2 big ones)
Next month i buy 4 big ones more.. so i have many things to do the coming few years...
Yes i can telescope it i also have 2 telescope tubes with the big modules from edison, but i don't think i can adjust it..
Only thing i need to know is what optics is need to use for telescoping..
I think a positive and a negative achromat will do the job.. Time ago i have throwed a lot of optics in trashcan from flaminpyro..
Yes a module without a collimator lense is useless haha i know that... i do have a laserpointer and know exactly how usefull it is
And i think i don't use G2 lenses.. but 3-layer lenses, because it has a very nice spot without the retaining ring
The G2 lense does have a ugly square at the laserdot i don't like it but problem is that the diode will be hotter,
because more light is reflecting back to the diode.. and i have read a lot about optima lenses.. but i don't know what the price is for that..
Maybe i'm going to ask them for the price very soon.. but i'll begin with the 3-layer lenses i have..
Oh and maybe later i put 1 more diode in the module to PBS exactly in the middle
so the beam will be brighter and ligten the dark sports/stripes up when knife edging multimodes
    I think of a 9mm 445 or a 450nm PLTB i think that will be a good mix

    Have a nice weekend !

for knife edging the 120mw or 170mw single mode reds.. what is the best configuration? 2*2 or the 4*1?

how much are the prism mirrors?

    Hi!

2x2 is the better choise unless you want to use 4 combiners with different heights for 4x4 shape. If you use one module, 2x2 is fine.

The mirror prisms cost 12€ for 5mm and 13,80€ for 7mm. I suggest to use 5mm prisms as the beam is pretty small. But it depends on the lenses you use. As long as the beam is ~3mm, 5mm prisms are fine.
