If it's not critical I use silicone as it's dries dimensionally stable and it's

Thats where the UV cure stuff comes in handy, I'd run the laser through the lens, take my time and align everything, once I'm satisfied, I'd just turn on my el-cheapo UV lamp. While the stuff'll cure anyways eventually due to sunlight, it sets really quickly with UV...
