Default Ideas for 600V DC 5W (8.3mA) power supply modules.

Too much for a Geiger counter or vaccuum tube headphone amp. Too little for most HV stuff, but I'm open to suggestions. They're nice, I have four of them, and I'll consider any ideas, even very silly ones, good ones might come out of those too. Only thing to bear in mind: The outputs are NOT isolated so I can't chain them to get 1200V, 1800V, or 2400V unless the 12VDC inputs are all isolated. Better to use one or two of these at 600V as intended, knowing I have backup PSU's.

    Let the brainstorming begin.

Needs more volts. Lots more, and far less current. I made one once, bought a couple of ionisers too. I don't like them. Interesting gadgets though. They need AC really, a ladder of caps and diodes.. Voltage 'multiplier'.
