    Default 120mw or should I say 200mw 520nm diodes...holy stuff....

Ok I am one of those that gets really angry when my projector turns pink and leave green and red tails. I miss the pcaom days...sort of. So I took a chance and installed the new 120mw 520nm diode in place of my dpss.

    HOLY HOLY HOLY

Modulation is very near pcaom. A very few artifacts but even for picky me its good enough.

DOWNSIDE: Yea there is always one.

Remember the old green dot on the wall. It's back and there is no way to kill it unless you use a shutter or beam suppression. It's not horrible but it is there and has to be to make the lasers match.

I set the current at 400ma and I didn't measure power but it is plenty for my setup. Here is my new standard setup:

200mw 520nm/ 200mw 638nm/ 500mw 445nm yes the red looks low but it makes a real nice white. Heck that's nearly a watt. For the livingroom it's fine. Didn't try beams yet.

Well there you have it. Next to finish the single mode unit and install pangolin 506 scanners. Expect lots of new shows. KECKED is back!
