Default Entec USB Pro (I or II)

I've been asked to do some additional lighting at a bash and fancy giving one these a go.

Any advice also appreciated - I have no idea what I'm doing

    Hello,

I have an Enttec DMX USB PRO MK2 and I really like it.

Never had a problem with it. Plus it can control two universes.

What else would you like to know?

    Thanks Ed.

What software do you use to control it and do you control the lights along with lasers?

    Hello,

    I use FreeStyler:

    http://freestylerdmx.be/

for most of my uses. I have also developed a very customized Windows program to control devices using the Enttec PRO MK2.

I use DMX to control effects in my Lumia build. I also use it to control a couple RGB up-lights and my fog machine.

I have also developed a couple of specialized DMX controlled devices. I can PM you details if you are interested. I will be posting about it here on PL soon.

    Thank you

<faceplam>I've just realised that I already have an Easylase DAC with DMX, so can have a play in LSX </facepalm>

Freestyler is free, and supports a large variety of controllers (including the Easylase!).

That sounds promising. Is it possible to control multiple programs with a single Midi device?

I don't think so. But there exist programs that can split up the signals. Probably depends on the device. All I can say is, it's not possible with my BCR2000 (so I send it to Reaper which sends it to LSX using the LoopBe1 virtual midi port).
