The tag is an option.
I think it helps to have something like that visible because it helps people see why you may not have typed a massive long post, or it may have odd auto-corrections in it.

The problem is, for me anyway, is it makes you read it. Signatures are easy to ignore because there is a large separation, but the tag is in the same box as the post. Often times it has the name of the phone in there too. On other forums I lurk I've seen up to a third of the posts tagged. I'm sure it will increase too as more people find it. After all thats the whole reason for the tag. I've seen lines of posts in threads with Tapatalk tags. I find it inconsiderate to force Tapatalk down peoples throats. Its a program that tags its own name every post you make. If that is not the definition of spam I dont know what is.

I have always just used the normal forum on my iphone and not really had too many issues tbh

yes. the mobile skin is quite good. i use it all the time.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
