    Default Mirrors for DT40pro's

Where can I get decent mirrors for my DT40pro's?
The ones istalled loose about 40% of my blue

I agree the mirrors on the DT40`s suck big time. The problem with changing mirrors is if you don`t install them perfectly balanced it will lead to scanner failure. When there are installed at the factory they use a special fixture to ensure a perfect balance.

Is there anything that I can spray on the back that would help the reflection or reduce the losses?

You can get 6800 mirrors from Cambridge for about $75/set. They are broadband dielectric type, good for 10W or more and have >95% reflectivity from 400-700nm. I have the jig required to get the mirrors mounted perfectly. I will loan it out at no cost, but will require a $300 deposit to encourage you to return it after you have glued your mirrors

    Cool

Well, there might be another solution, Juntronics...

Suppose someone mailed their galvos to you, and the new mirrors, and the money for return shipping. How much extra $$$ would need to be in the envelope for you to mount them using your jig and send them back afterward?

I'm guessing that you're a lot more familiar with the use of that jig than anyone else here is... That might be the better way to go.

    Whatcha think?

I just compared a Cambridge mirror to the mirrors on my DT-40Pro's and the Cambridge mirror is about 50% thicker and so probably won't fit in the slot milled in the end of the shaft on the DT-40 scanner

You might want to check how much IR is in your blue beam. A long time ago, I built a projector with a "200mw" green DPSS laser. It measured 250mW on my Lasercheck, but I only got 150mW out of the scanners (G120's with good broadband dielectric mirrors). BBDE mirrors do an excellent job with visible light, but hardly reflect any IR and it turned out that my laser was actually making 160mW of green and the rest IR.

JoJo from JM lasers knows where to get western made mirrors that should fit the DT-40pro's and he can change them although he does not seem to enjoy it too much. But asking wouldn't hurt

Yes, the coating on the mirrors is CRAP! Good scanners with BAD mirrors. I get red, green and blue thru my mirrors not much maybe a few mw but that is just not acceptable. The mirrors on my BL30K scanners are great 95% and the scanners are just as good as the DT`s if not better. IMO

    Code:
    Mirrors High quality medium film
    glass ,reflectivity>95%
This is for the DT40Pro's mirrors.

I cant see any losses on my sets! And I got 3 of them
