All software has a learning curve usually proportional to its capabilities and unique features. Pointing with a mouse is in no way easier than tapping a key.
To optimize the art for CTN files for the "My Effect II" to get rid of the weird tails and flags on all the lit segments, I wrote a function that simply piles blank copies of the vertex that starts or ends each lit segment.
I used the value of menu [tab], option "8 dwell on dot in vertices".
By default the value is 10.
But you can change it to whatever and it will apply in both the automatic optimization of CTN file output and the "chil" frame set effect; so you can tweak it.
