Laser Warning Do you like to use RJ45 connector laser?

As my view, RJ45 lan cable is more convenient for enduser to operate. It is more fast and no need more tool and material.
We ABLE laser design RJ45 and DB25 both connector for your choice.Click image for larger version.

Common Gnd is obvious. But with only 7 more connections available, how are you dealing with the +/- aspects of the signalling (+x / -x for example)?

The only thing I can figure is that they are using single-ended amps and color modulation. I thought the FB3 output was differential though.

I use two for all of the required connections. Works like a charm.

But they said they use both DB25 and RJ45 which would mean the DB25 would also have to be single ended signalling if they are using single ended amps

Differential just means at the highest +ve voltage the -ve voltage is 0. As the +ve voltage reduces, the -ve voltage increases by the same amount and vice versa. So if +24v goes down to +20v the -ve side will become -4v from 0. At +0v the -ve voltage will be -24v. These values are relative to Gnd. If you were to put a meter across the +ve and -ve pins you would see 24v constantly. This means the differential output can be used for single ended operation as you just ignore the -ve voltage lines completely.

But DT30/40 scanner drivers have +/- inputs so, how do they get round not having enough signal lines in the RJ45?
    Cheers

That's right. Total brain fart. I was thinking of something else.

I'd assume it's going to be something like this

    pair 1 wire 1 - X+
    pair 1 wire 2 - X-
    pair 2 wire 1 - Y+
    pair 2 wire 2 - Y-
    pair 3 wire 1 - R+
    pair 3 wire 2 - G+
    pair 4 wire 1 - B+
    pair 4 wire 2 - GND

and no other signals on the RJ45 but all will be present on the DB25

the biggest problem i can see is that this is not a standard. Standards are important for a reason.

DB25 might be slightly ham fisted, but its annoyances are worth it when you consider its universal compatibility. Until a new standard becomes established then we should stick to what we have.

But at least they are giving you the options as the DB25 is still in the projector

I does work. Rob sells the ILDA > CAT5 adapters

doesn't that system use 2 lines of cat 5 though? so 16 conductors available, against the 8 being suggested here...
