In this case, you are running lasers that are powerful enough to cause eye damage. True, your projectors are set up correctly, but there are other lasers in the venue that are out of your control that are crowd-scanning. If someone decided to be a pain in the ass, they could "claim" an eye injury and file suit against you. Then you'd have to PROVE that it wasn't your lasers that did the damage. I don't even want to think about all that hassle.
You'd probably win, but it would be a huge mess. To me, if they're hiring a laserist, they have no business running their own gear. That's what you are there for.

the video obviously makes it worse than it really is.
I hardly ever realize they are even on because they are so dim. until someone mentions it..
