I would be super interested in this alignment demonstration as well... sadly, I'm not getting in until late Thursday night so Friday morning will be my SELEM cherry-poppin' zero hour. :-) Still hoping to build a DTR rig myself, so I need all the alignment tips I can get. I've had no end of grief aligning my spencer laser, but its dichros and laser mounts are all hot-glued to a thin aluminum plate... :-( I need a REAL projector! :-) And some REAL software! :-)

Neil, come see me early in the event. I'm bringing several projectors to sell, and one of them has what I would call an ideal alignment rig. It would be the perfect unit to use to explain near and far field alignment. We can use it and run through the basics in about 5 minutes!

It just would look *so* much better with all that 'volumetric-space' (..and be-safer / enable a bit higher-power, etc..) ..Well, IF 'auditorium-ceiling mounting' is just not-possible / practical.. I still have an idea, that could work.. I assume there's a 'Home Depot' / Lowes, et al, nearby?

I might attend the round-table if I know it's happening. Last year I just kinda wandered, and if I happened to wander into a class or something, stuck around if it pertained to me. Didn't have any idea of any sort of schedule, or where to go as it was my first time.

Hoping to possibly learn a bit that will also transition to alignment of DPSS systems and things like that. Who knows

PS - SELEM is actually saving me from an additional 3 days of 12's. I have leave from Wed - Mon.
