I'm planning to head to SELEM on Thursday (will arrive late Thursday eve, coming from Northern Virginia) and plan to leave on Monday (Taking the LSO course.)

If anyone is looking for a room split to drop the cost I might be interested. Clean dude, no drugs, non-smoker. I've been to the past 3 SELEMs.

In the past I've gone with my friend Chris but he isn't able to make it this year.

On another note, I've got a multi-camera HD video production rig, is it worth bringing? It's a Blackmagic ATEM unit w/ 3 Canon consumer HD cameras, and two HD-SDI converters for extending the video feeds from the cameras. Are there going to be presentations that should be recorded?) The way it works is the video enters the magic box and you live control which of the cameras end up on the h264 hardware encoded 1080i video file. Magic box directly drives a preview display where you can see all of the camera feeds real time.

Ethan: That recording rig would be ideal for shooting video in the auditorium, if you're willing to set it up and babysit the thing from time to time... (Or show someone how to run it at least.) DZ, Flecom, and Bradfo69 will be running things in there, with help from Swamidog and Dkumpula.

I'd be willing to take a shift or two running the video rig...spent many an hour behind the wheel of an ATEM.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

To every one regarding the video switcher setup, I will bring it and anyone who wants to run it for a while is more than welcome! It's easy and the unit is slick!

Tony -- that would be VERY nice- for a few years some exellent DVDs were made and I am sure we all miss them--I was very happy to pay the modest cost of a copy and shipping-I felt it was more than fair- well done too.

I can help with telmnstr's cameras-

    - who BTW..

. should get with Doc John I shared a suite with him and it was just fine..
