I came across this beauty in an norwegian buy/sell page, but no price was listed. I guess the owner does not know the pricetag either.

What would be the reasonalble price to pay, and will it be usable for a Showlaser?

sure you could use that for a light show but it is HUGE compared to lasers intended for that. These are for pumping Ti:Sapphire and dye lasers mostly and have to run years with little service. Used in good shape with fairly fresh diodes maybe $10K?

I guess i would let it pass, but if anybody seroiusly interested i could pass on info. I really dont have the space for this beast. I dont know for shure, but the owner might not know the real value, as it is listed togheter with a movieposter and a saw!!

It looks mad expensive!! I'll maybe send him an mail asking how much he wants for it.
It's not that practical for using in a projector without having a huge custom case made so that beast will fit

If it works, its 2.5, 5 or 10 watts depending on version, .01% stability, and a diffraction limited, tight beam. I've used one, in the lab. Beam is as close to Ion Laser quality as a DPSS can get. That is a really, really, good laser. The pump diodes do degrade slowly over time. Usually they get tossed simply because the rear mirror needs adjusted, and academic users often run out of funding, so no service call is possible..

Don't dismiss it because of its size, the quality is world class. That is the water to air heat exchanger version of the chiller, so no cooling hoses. The chiller alone is 7,000 USD New!

I have a 5 watt OEM SP Millenia and its the bees knees. A really great laser with a beam that is *i think* better than an ion.
Get it if you can.
