Default Chunk of aluminium machined to my specs, for my 506s

I need an adapter plate machined for my 506's. I live just outside of Detroit, so this should be easy, but I don't know any machinists; I only know welders & sheet metal guys (hopefully a future membership at Tech Shop will fill this void). I made a sketch of the part I need in Google Sketchup, but I couldn't figure out how to save it as a jpeg or pdf, so I just took some camera pics (see 4 attached images). The dimensions of the 2 corner holes are not listed, but they are both 4mm holes, with a recess for counter sinking that is 7.5mm by 3mm deep; it is not important if the corners blow out, I know they are pretty close to the edge. The other 2 holes need to be drilled & tapped for M3 size screws. Let me know if you can help!

you could make that part simpler to make by making the 2x M3 tapped holes 4.5mm plain holes and tapping the galvo mount instead. the 2 bigger holes in the glavo block are already drilled to just the right size so you can run an M4 tap in them.
The then bolt the galvo mount to the plate from underneath, then mount whole block to the baseplate from above, concealing the screws underneath.

P.S. thereis an option in the File menu to export 2D image in Sktechup. you can create JPEGs there, or even doing a simple 'print screen' into Paint is better than a photo

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

I can make that. I would need to buy an M3 tap though.

    Norty-

I'm not sure how that would simplify anything, as I still need 4 holes, and I still need to tap a total of 2...I would rather do this all on a single junk of aluminum than on my precious 506s.. . .

How much for your services? Feel free to PM me.

    Thanks guys!

Well it would make it cheaper for the person making your block, because they're only having to machine plain holes and not tap them.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

For reference, these blocks put the scanners at the same height as the Laser-wave modules that are fitted in my goldenstar projector (rather than use the beam specs, I stacked pieces of paper under the scanner until the beam spill was symmetrical, and then measured the height with digital calipers). I should also point out that I was going to use the 'recommended' threaded holes in the 506s, but the hole placement conflicted with the holes that are already drilled in my optical deck (and I'm trying to keep modifications to a minimum).
