Cool My Birthday present from my wife

I've always been a speed freak. I've owned sports cars most of my life. So when I found this and implied this would be the ultimate birthday present she bought it.
My wife bought the Exotic Driving Experience for my birthday Sunday 4/20. I got to drive a Lamborghini Gallardo 560-4 on the Walt Disney Speedway track. It is a combination of high banked top speed and sharp in field turns. It really gives you an idea of the power and handling these cars are capable of. This is a dream come true for me. I've always wanted to drive one of these supercars.

Happy Birthday - that is a great present. How fast did you get to go?

I did the Richard Petty driving experience there 3 years ago in a NASCAR prepped stock car. I had a great time but would have loved to do more than "just turn left" on the oval track. The in field turns in a Lamborghini must be the ultimate fun.

As you exit the infield turns you hit the high bank turn. They limit you to 75MPH, once you hit the straight away they let you floor it. The problem is you only get about 1/16 of a mile on the straight away and part of that is braking. I managed to get up to 120MPH before they made me start slowing down for the hair pin turn. No where near the top speed of the car but still incredible. Few people get to drive one of these cars at legal speeds let alone at 120MPH. I loved it.

They were running the Richard Petty cars when I got there. They seemed faster since they didn't have to slow down for the infield turns. The Lambo handled the turns like a dream. The car I drove was all wheel drive too.

Now... you just need to get the wife to buy you one. Along with a bumper sticker that says, "My Other Vehicle is a Plane."

An awesome birthday present indeed! I'd love to drive a Lambo on the track.

Like djeric68, I got to do the Richard Petty driving experience at the Disney track about 6 years ago. (I won the experience for two at a work conference, which made it even sweeter.)

I admit that "just turning left" while driving alone just 3 feet off someone else's back bumper and hitting precise spots on the track was much more challenging than I anticipated. After some of the crazy driving I did in my younger days, my top speed of 120 seemed slow, but it certainly felt faster under those conditions.

These guys are going to be at the track in Kershaw, SC for those that might be interested. I'm really thinking about going.

If it is anything like what I did and you can afford it....GO DO IT!

FYI I read some of the details and it looks like it is only 3 laps.
