    Default 1.4W 462nm Laser Diode

    Hi Guys,

Is there any interest in the 1.4W 455-470nm Nichi* laser diode?

Attached is the datasheet. The beamspecs seems to be the same as of the 1.6W 445nm diode.

The price is 150€ each plus PP and shipping.

Not cheap but may be worth due to the nicer blue.

Beam specs looked good for the olcaro too ,but the were crap, I think I will wait and see what a corrected one can do.
If you can confirm they will go down to at least 0.8 mrad I am in for one
When God said “Let there be light” he surely must have meant perfectly coherent light.

Even at the paper the specs of the Oclaro were not looking "good". Crappy beam was expected. Sure, not as crappy as of the Mitsu´s 500mW but there was no hope for only "a bit worse" beam as of a single mode diode

    When will they be available?

Also, has it been shown the emitter is the same size as the 445?

They are already available. A sample will arrive next week. I´ll test it and post the results.

As usual no emitter size is given.

    Alex,
If the emitter information is helpful; I'd be happy volunteer my time to do a proper measurement + comparison?

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
