Default Need help creating .ild (laser animation) files from a .gif file

    Hello,
I am looking for someone with the software and ability to create .ild (laser animation) files out of each of these symbols:
    http://www.warandtactics.com/Images/...bs/14types.gif
There are about 50 map symbols there and this project will result in about 50 .ild files. I would like them to work with my RGB laser and alternate in color - each symbol being a different color.

I think I read somewhere that my laser plays .ild format 0. I have a kind of cheap ($200) laser from Spencer Gifts that you can crack open and modify the contents of an sd card inside. Here is a thread where people are talking about hacking this thing if you are interested: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...es-help-please

I tried making the .ild files using bmp2ild and the laser wont play the files. Any help from the community would be very appreciated!

    Hi magus,
Thanks for getting back to me about my laser. The specs you ask for are probably why I'm having so many problems. I really dont know a way to find out this info because the laser is kind of a cheapo one sold through Spencer's. I have disassembled it though - is there a way to determine some of these specs by looking inside?
Some people on this forum were previously talking about the model I'm working with here:
    http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...es-help-please
As far as color goes, I know the laser uses RGV and I have seen it make white, orange, and pink but it seems pretty limited. I wanted to just make each ild file into a different color based on those very primary laser colors I have seen it make.
In terms of speed, I got into a .prg file on the sd card and it lists speeds between 10-20 for playback but I'm not sure what those numbers refer to. Not sure if this is helpful in any way but I appreciate any help folks can provide for figuring this out.
    thanks again--

What is the scanner speed of your projector though?
And also do you mean you want each of the symbols to be different color from each other? Because at that price range your projector might only display 7 colors (is it TTL or analog?).

The .prg file that I created on an SD card is called Laser1
it is in a folder called Laser1
The .prg file I created in notepad Must be saved as an "all files" and NOT as a text file!
The numbers after the file name represent scan rate (20) and repeat times (3).
My sd card laser will not work good with anything over a 1 Gig SD card! Intermittently with a 2 gig card.

You May know this already...but if not...try it with some simple .ild files.
Try this with the program file with a .lst extention instead of .prg and see what happens!

If you get ANY projections coming out of your machine...experiment with the scan rate numbers for the best results
for Your laser. Some .ild files work...some don't...depends on your laser.

Please let us know of your progress.

    Laser1.prg
    planets.ild,20,3
    celeb.ild,20,3
    infinity.ild,10,3
    brdda.ild,15,3
