    Hi Kecked,

Since this only handles converting an ILDA signal (plus audio) to digital for recording, adding geometric correction seems a bit out of the scope of what this is intended to do. On the other hand, having some minor control over the signal on the other end, let say an ADAT to ILDA converter, could be of some benefit.

The digital packet transmission to a projector seems like it's on the horizon. I seem to recall Pangolin hinting to this a while back. Either way, analog will still be here for a very long time!

I have all that on my lightpipe convertor from raven systems and more but it would be a nice card to add to a projector directly.
I hear they stopped making the adat chipsets.

Frankly it would be nice to get away from all that and send a digital packet to a projector over Ethernet and do away with convertors entirely. No reason it could not be done especially if you don't have to send the audio. Hell make it a wireless device on AC or even N.

pop an A/D on the output of a soundcard or ilda source, multiplex, send to projector, demux, D/A into projector. Seems simple enough.

    or

multiplex, A/D, send, D/A Demux now you only have a single A/D D/A to handle and can add a sync for the multiplex demux with the stream

Looks good DZ. Then to turn captured things into laser frames, you could use our LC-ADAT. Have you already tried that? We are asked to do that every year for converting certain abstract shows for the purpose of submitting for ILDA Awards...

Hi Bill, thanks for the compliment! Coming from you that means a lot to me!

I've used the older LC-ADAT in the past, just playing around. I haven't tried it in Beyond, yet. I'll get around to it soon though, I have some color mod stuff in the works for the Z-5. So being able to save that stuff and add it as a cue in Beyond is going to be neat to try!

Don't worry Carlos... they're not just for me. If I "could" actually afford to have one custom built, it would be a little different than what I've heard this will be. (I really only "need" 1 but, in the end... I know I'll end up getting two! )

Hi Carlos, yep, they're coming! Probably be available shortly after SELEM. Glad to hear you're enjoying the last splitter I released! I always love to hear feedback like that! The new splitter will have all the features and capability of the old splitter, plus an entirely new level of features and flexibility.

If i could recommend anything, it would be 2 things:
    Rack mount
Pots with a centering notch on the positions only

Other than that, everyone should own one if you run 2 or more lasers

Hi all! I've just added a link to the ILDA to ADAT Converter Manual in the 1st post. Hope it helps!

    Thanks!
