The Vista box was already set up - which i forgot so already had a go.

Yep I get the priv. instruction error when I click stop.
Dunno if it outputs or not as I don'r have easylase driver for Vista and Im not gonna use vista so dont really care to spend the time

anyway conclusion seems to be that it is a mamba vs. vista issue

This could end up becoming a lemon if they dont get their act together.

Played with 1.72 for about 30 seconds and found 2 more bugs....

If you have a show with music assigned it does not load when you load a saved show - this is a pain on top of the annoyance of 1.72 not recognising your MRU list of shows and framelists.
Plus the output preview window appears not to work not the end of the world in itself doing a show but nice to allow you to work on a show in isolation from your projector.

I love updated software cos you may get new goodies to play with but its always at the risk of other stuff getting broken!

Too bad! We have to wait some months for the next Mamba version.
Peter Mayer has left the Medialas company...
So, Medialas is looking for a new software programmer now.
E-mails to pm@medialas.de will not be seen I think...

This is bad news - I thought it was strange that his mail address had been removed from the website and then when i sent a mail to him it came back from someone else who told me peter had left. Lets hope they get someone in very soon. They could loose out to Pangolin if they let development of mamba stop. They will also find many unhappy customers - as I am already starting to get frustrated with mamba.

As everyone know I think, Peter has his own small company in laser stuff: http://www.creativelaser.de

Also a strange thing to look at is the software of Laserworld: http://www.laserworld.tv/en/laser-sh.../software.html Does this look like Mamba? May be this is the Mamba-Next Generation for us.... ;-)

the laserworld version is an old version of mamba thats been customised
and its not as good as the latest versions of MB

Dirk from medialas explains a bit about it in this thread ....

    hope this explains ... Karl

Mmmmm. Thanx for the update. But if I take a closer look at the screenshot of the Laserworld software, I see a lot more buttons than in Mamba Black. Over the last two years I sent a lot of emails to Medialas with suggestions to improve Mamba, but I did see not many of them in the latest versions of MB. ;-(
Too bad that there is no demo version of Laserworld...

Default MAMBA is ALIVE and WELL

Just to put an end to any rumours

I have had a bit of an update from Dirk at Medialas

Medialas already has a new programmer and he is busy implimenting new features into mamba, and Mamba will continue to be updated on a regular basis .... it is currently planned that V1.73 will be released in a week or so
    with regular updates to follow

    all the best .... Karl
