I think you've hit the nail on the head there Adam.

The only graphics work i do tends to be abstract style stuff for the psychedelic scene, so anything close to fluoro is a positive bonus.

"Paint me a mind altering backdrop and make it look natural!" said nobody in the psy-trance scene, ever....

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Adam, thanks for those comparison shots,
just what i was looking for... i see what you mean, there really is NO big difference in brightness..
i suppose i'll order my next RGB with whatever is cheaper, and not worry so much about 532vs520 module.

    thanks!!

Depends whether there are 2 on top of 2 via a pbs.. A power meter would soon tell the truth...

that green looks like a scanner color blanking timing setting and not a defect in the laser source.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Try picking off the individual green beam, before the scanner mirrors to confirm??

Their 480 is 4*120mw red diodes. The 680 is 4*170mw diodes. Omar confirmed for me.

And that does look like blanking issue with the green.

Most-astute comment, Mr C, but if it were 'blanking-shift' only, then 'Sir Bungy' would not have been able to fix his (quite similar-looking..) issues with his lens-change experiments in Post#12.. and it would not-just appear with the green / blue, only.. It'd be across all colors.. ..Looks like lens-trash to me, too..

    Just an outsider-observation from a non-owner..
