You forgoted Mamba 2004, it's the same that Mamba Black but some sort of Lite version, with only 2 tracks and without music playing, but with almost the other functions.
But for 99 euros, it's a real deal! And that's what I use for the moment...

    There is also:-

    Laser Animator (Nu light systems)
    Beam Sculptor (Laser Visuals)
    Millenium (Laser Electronics)
Laserline (a basic soundcard based something I found on the internet for macs)

I only ever hear reviews of Pangolin, Mamba Black and Alphalite, I'd be keen to hear opinions on any of the others as I'm currently in the market!

    PCLite! (Laser Illusions)

Its an old one, dos based. But it was fun back in the day. 8bit X,Y and TTL blanking. Attached to the host pc via parallel port. Bought it as a kit to assemble about 12 years ago.

    Question

Will PC Lite work on the Popelscan DAC?

    Cool

I would change the "Laser Illusions" entry to "Alphalite". Or at least, to "Laser Illusions / Alphalite". (You can also add the "XC-Pro" on the end if you want, since that is what the current hardware is called.) Here's why:

Alphalite is the name of the software (and hardware), while Laser Illusions is the name of Rick Gebhardt's company (and website) that sells it. (Just like Medialas is the company that sells Mamba Black.)

Also, under X-29 I would add "Full Auto" behind it. (One version has more features than the other, but they use the same dedicated ISA controller card. Both used to be sold by New Method Lasers (NML), but I think One Stop Laser Shop.com has taken over distribution now.

Then there is Laserboy and UClinux... Both are open source Linux projects that use sound cards for DACs.

There is also "ScanPlot", if I can muster enough 1337 5k1ll5 to write more of the thing. It doesn't count of course, I'm just squatting that name so it doesn't get pinched.

I apologise for the leet speak, maybe I should ban myself now.

I think that Ricks Laser illusions needs a section on its own ....

My first DAC package from him .... was called "Graphic Workstation" which was an ISA card and software on 3.5 floppy

    all the best ... Karl
