As soon as it heads in the right direction it disappears off the mirror altogether.
Please describe this a little better for us.

Your beam should enter the scanner block and hit the lower mirror first (usually, although sometimes they enter the top first) and then be reflected up to the top mirror, before coming out of the front.

Which mirror is it missing, the top one?

A picture can tell a thousand words in these situations.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Hi....yes....it hits the bottom mirror fairly central but then hits the outside edge of the top one......I tried taking a pic but to no avail!

When it comes out of the aperture it is in the top right corner (looking at the front of the unit.

I'm just trying to take a screenshot of my settings as something looks weird in the default corner optimisation setting.

dont mess with those settings only pick your scanner speed in one of the boxes below that and dont mess with any thing else until you have a better understanding of what that stuff is for (but you dont need to adjust it to look good)

Ok, but you say that if you try and bring it back to centre on the controls in Phoenix, it goes right off the top scanner mirror, correct?

If so, it sounds like you are adjusting it the wrong way.

To bring it back into line, you need to come to the left (as you're facing the unit, based on your 'top right' description)

Don't forget that the adjustment could be based on viewing the projector from front or back, and the axis could be inverted somewhere, so up/down left/right are all dependent on your orientation.

Can you move the beam in the direction required to bring it it to the centre of the top mirror (regardless of whether thats labelled + or -, left or right in the software), or do you not have enough adjustment available?

When I tried last night I didn't seem to have enough adjustment in any direction.....but to be fair it'd been a long day and I was starting to get p£ssed off with it.

I can have another go this evening and will calmly work on each slider from the top down!

I see your in East Sussex.....I'm in Littlehampton

the top 2 are size control to begin adjust them both x and y smaller like 40 or 50 or even smaller smaller if needed but not too small (if = is pressed then x&y will move together) then adjust the move x and y to the center 0.00 for x and 0.00 for y (you can double click the slider to center it to 0.00)
