    Default rgb updated pics

Well folks, i finally upgraded to rgb from my lil'ol 100mw green. Colour makes such a difference. Attached a few pics for your perusal. I origionally had the single green in a large unicase, but had to add another layer to get everything in.........i was a bit worried about heat dissipation on the lasever units from aiiij (dave) but they are mounted on 10mm ali baseplate and seem ok...(thanks dave, excellent delivery)...i put fans on the psu's along with a 10mm ali strip......i should have paid more attention in metal work classes, however i did tap my own holes etc (wow).

    250mw 660nm, 100mw 473nm, and 100mw 532nm.
the rest of the gear are the 9024 wide moves, 20 sector polygrating, blue and red dichros and fine mirror mounts......alignment maybe slightly off but hey......we are rocking and rolling !........software/help, is beam sculptor 3d from james stewart (laser visuals,uk)....any suggestions from you guys for improvements welcome........all for now ........dave

    Thumbs up

That's a very nice set up you got there. Very nice color. I would have thougt that much green would wash out the blue.

Hi Dave, very nice setup! If you don't mind, I'd like to make a suggestion. I also have a similar setup with the three lasever units:

I had a bit of an issue using the DC power supplies that came with them, so I replaced the three power supplies with a single 5V 20amp supply from Jameco: http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/sto...61&pa=201961PS

Its quite a few amps overkill, but I also use it to power my shutter and a few other support circuits. And it cleared up the power problem I had.

    David (DZurcher)

Whose Optics mounts are those that you are using? They look nice and robust, I take it they are fully adjustable also?

    Cheers

    Other question...

Why don`t you insulate the laserheads from the plate? I thought they get damaged when you don`t insulate them..... I hope you understand me....
