So it is fair to say that after 2000 hours you will need a new red.
I think it is pointless to say here that we expect 10.000 hours on the whole system as some often do, unless of course they use laser diodes from a different world.

Time limited offer: yes, it certainly is. We'll see how it goes. At the moment it goes well
So who manufactured the diodes? was in not Kvant?

Your confusing laser modules with diodes.

The modules are Kvant. The diodes in the modules will be bought in.

That explains it. I was adding extra black.

Here's a pretty old promotional video:

I don't think they make the Dazzler anymore.
    thank you, didn't find that..

Stil no answer to my question either regarding what 2000hrs actually relates to.

If thats MTBF then they're seriously overdriven. If its 50% brightness (standard for LED lifespan quotes usually) then its also quite worrrying.

If its 80% output then it may not be as bad as people think, but in the absence of any further info....

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

That's what I was thinking. BUt looks like they are standard power levels, from the spec sheet, and not really over driven.

If I needed anymore projectors in the 3watt range then I would grab one of these. Especially since it is varianced. But I don't need any more. Now I just need some higher power projectors.
