    depending on the cable service you have, you may not need to bring your computer to your ent. center. Just splice the cable and run one to the computer, the other to the tv as usual. Then, you can watch tv on the ent. center, and tape another program on your computer. Download the program to your thumb drive, and voilâ. Granted, you still need to play the thumb drive through your tv .

    That's how I do it at home, more or less. In fact, my entertainment center is my computer. TV, DVR, PSP, sound system, computer and internet, all bundled into one, not so small, box .

    I went ahead and got the DVD-RAM.
    Its niiiice--
    Puts the ole vcr in the dust with the pic and features.
    Poor lil' vcr -I'm still gonna keep him for sentimental reasons
