    Buffo -

Thanks for the reality check and the pics to go along.
It really helped me understand that this projector I am building does not have to be perfect. It is my first RGB and if the color balance is a bit off ... who cares! It will still look cool (to the average person who comes to my house and ogles)!

So I think I will go with

    Red: Marconi's 660nm dual 220mW to total 440mW
    Blue: laserver's 300 mW
    Green Laserver's 200 mw Green

    Sound ok?

I know bit overkill on the blue but I can always dim that with the analog modulation. I am just thinking it would be really cool to have some power on the blue spectrum as it is my favorite color.

I think it will be great. If you ever want to pump up the red and green you will have enugh blue already.

    Exactly!

I am still on the fence about perhaps just getting a 300 mw green now...

    not much more...

Sounds like a good blend to me. I am running 200mW R, 75mW B, and 30mW green and to me it's a good white. I could use a lil more green as mine is crap...

Extra blue is always good as it is the most expensive to get.

Crap - You're right David! I forgot about that. Good point then, your 635nm red was probably operating at greatly reduced power.

Nevertheless, it sounds like Matt has a pretty good setup in mind. For certain he'll have excess green, but that's not a bad thing. (Always nice to be able to punch up the green for that extra omph when doing beams.) Kind of like "Spinal Tap", right? "But these go to eleven!"

Be sure to keep us informed as the build progresses, Matt!
