Looks like DTR will stock a cheaper alternative to the 9mm 462nm diodes,

What is the REAL rated power tho? ( as opposed to LPF rated power )

Seems promising, good beam quality and cheaper
Hope it is 467nm as stated .. would be nice one to combine this w/ the 462 I already got ..
Hope a 473 doesn't come out next month heh ..
Hope the average is more than 462nm :P
M462 does seem to lase at a higher wavelength compared to 9mm 462nm ones
fingers crossed!

The supplier did not want to reveal the manufacturer or part number but they did say it was factory rated @ 1.6A which with the test diode was just a smidgen under 2W with a G-2. The other crowd will probably push them to 1.8A. One zombied @ 2.5A and the other @ 2.3A but the supply I use while nice for taking testing images is not very clean and has some transients when turning the pot so it could be they got spiked harder than what is shown.
I do as well. I sent two diodes to Angelos to spectro and they will be there tomorrow so hopefully will have some graphs on them by the weekend.

One of my suppliers told me that these 5,6mm 462nm diodes actually are sorted 1.6W 450nm Osr... diodes. This may be the reason why your supplier does not want to reveal any details except the rated current.

I agree that there is a chance they are high binned diodes as I also think the same is true with the 9mm Nichia version. Both came with a notice they were limited quantity and there would be no more after they are gone.
That sucks that once they are gone.. then they are gone. A lot of the laser projector companies are switching to these 462 blues. I personally like them. I guess I should buy a few modules while I still can. I wonder what the available quantity is and how long they will last.
