It's old news, but certainly worth a look if you like seeing how laser optics are done in space. The LISA Pathfinder mission represents a resonant node of awesome for folks whose interests include lasers and spaaaaaace.

Thanks. This is the first I have heard of this mission and the interferometer is very interesting. I wonder if this is intended to supplant LIGO or as a prototype of a mission that might supplant LIGO?
