    Take the lid off and see what it's connected to. I seem to recall they used RJ45 to carry the ILDA signal - originally they came with a short adaptor cable to go from DB25 to RJ45.
    With 8 cores you have enough to run scanners and a single colour channel, you just need to know which pin is which.

    You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

    I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

    Actually, you can run RGB single-ended and still have differential signalling for X and Y over a single RJ-45 jack (8 conductors). You use a common ground for the color signals, which is also your ILDA ground (normally pin 25).

    This is the way the old "Big-Dipper 2000" projectors from China were wired.

    X+=1
    X-=2
    Y+=3
    Y-=4
    R+=5
    G+=6
    B+=7
    GND=8

    Of course, there's no shutter signal, no ILDA interlock loop, and no intensity signal, but as a rule cheap Chinese projectors were never really big on following the ILDA standard anyway. It did work though.
