Dont know but im guessing beam divergence/size would be like the 9mm NDB7A75 3.5W 445nm diode or even worse, just guessing
But it could be that if cooled with tec, should see a massive power gain like those G71/P73, also guessing :P
This would be awesome for Sir " Planters " Lab to do test on these diode if they become available

Back on topic, considering the output power and wavelength, $295 seems reasonable. Very curious to see some beam profile pics NF/FF. No doubt it is going to be a fat beam with a nasty fast axis. C'mon Jordan, man up and give us some tests!
If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room.
There are several good things to conclude from reading a bit about this.
1. The curves shows a linear efficiency in mW up to 1800 at 25deg. How much further we will be able to push the diode before the curve starts to drop is an open but exiting question.
2. Mistubishi states:
Future Development
Going forward, Mitsubishi Electric plans to enhance its new LD’s high-power, low-consumption characteristics, aiming at a commercial launch in the
fiscal year ending in March 2016, at which time laser light sources for projectors are expected to take off.
3. Laserpowered porjectors in large numbers, shoud give reasonable prices of these diodes within a couple of years.
I only hope these are usable as a diecent lightsource in a projector.
