Cheeky charging you Express Delivery though!
    Cheeky?
It's downright dishonest and would be considered illegal in some countries as you did not get the service you paid for

Drlava should not be charging people until he is about to ship the product, and if it is delayed for extended period of time then not bill for shipping (or at least refund the shipping)

This is why a lot of us here buy Pangolin and Mamba and others. Sure, they cost more but you get what you pay for.
I bought LSX/Etherdream some time before ago but I have since bought two FB3 and already had a QM.net prior to LSX/Ethereal (really it was Etherdream that I bought LSX for as it had potential but has since been let down by LSX), I found the interface to be extremely unfriendly and un-intuitive (and I work in IT where this has been the norm for years on some products)

And I was expecting/hoping that there would be more content creation and sharing in the LSX realm (that is, when the non official FTP server is every up and working) especially as it should be in the hands of many

I do recognize some of the amazing work that has been done with abstracts (by Swami and co) but outside of that I haven't seen much in the way of shows

    CT6215 Scanners & CT 671 Amps; CT6210 & Medialas Microamps.
    RGBLaser Systems 6000mW RGB Module - 638nm/445nm/532
    LD2000 Pro + QM2000.net + Beyond
    Etherdream + LSX

I don't condone the long lead times frequently required to get LSX, but not everyone has had very long lead times. I've been lucky myself and have received roughly a dozen orders over the years from Innolasers within two to three weeks. Furthermore, let's not fool ourselves into thinking that paying more means you'll receive excellent customer service and/or speedy delivery.

For example, I am a customer of both Medialas and Pangolin as well as Innolasers. I have received poor customer support from Medialas on multiple occasions even though I was a long term customer who paid thousands of dollars for their hardware and software. The longest wait I've ever had on any on-line order of any type was courtesy of Pangolin (albeit this was an exception compared with prior orders). Still, I do not regret my purchases with these companies.

On the bright side, sometimes rapid delivery, consistently good customer support and low prices can be found with some dealers. DTR, Dave at LaserShowParts, Craig at Illumn.com, Rob at Stanwax and Omar at Eightonlight come to mind immediately.

Frankly, after all the complaints regarding lead times for DrLava/Innolasers here on PL for the past year, any reasonably seasoned laserist who frequents this site should anticipate a delayed delivery. If you aren't prepared to wait, don't order in the first place. (and yes, I realize it still sucks for the newbies that had no prior knowledge.)

    Just my $0.02.

If you are unhappy with LSX you could always sell it back to the community. I'm sure someone will snatch it right up. Hell if its the Pro version I am in the market right now shoot me a PM.
