    Default Dichro mount

I bought a dichro from Edmund Optics that will arrive tomorrow. It is 25mm (diameter) x 3mm (thickness). I need to make a mount for it but I am not sure what the best way to do it is. I have a lathe and milling machine so I can make whatever I need but I am not sure what that is. So, if someone has a good picture of a mount that would work or a link to a picture or something of the sort that would be great. I looked at the ones in the Edmund catalog but there were different kinds and I wasn't even sure which ones would work.

    Thanks.

Interesting. But, I am more interested in seeing some professional mounts.

    Cool

Here's an example of what you can find on the high end. (Newport.com)

Or have a look here in the gallery for a picture of some slightly less expensive mounts (MM2's and MM2A's) that Liteglow and I pipcked up used off E-bay.

Newport makes great stuff, but it's pricey. If you can do the machining work yourself, the design isn't all that complex. (Though the 60 threads per inch adjustment screws might be a sticking point.)
