Well I went and bought 2 new lasers from golden star,and I have to say I'm very impressed with them!!!!
Spec.
1.5 watt ( doing 1.8)
30k scan set. That is really 30k.
Haven't done much with them yet,but I'm blown away by them!!!

They are wonderful projectors. Even their disco series just absolutely rock. I just wish they issued manufacturer reports so I could use mine outside my shop. Kind of sucks because there are plenty of US laser companies that sell projectors that dont have the safety features that GS lasers have and somehow have their projectors variance.

Side note...
Don't use your ipad to record lasers....I've got a few dead pixels now...lol

Better that than your eyes though. I just hope they were behind the ipad!
Answer though is simple, fix the ipad in 1 position and BAM it (tape the lens over if necessary whilst setting it up). Then with the BAM in place, start recording and walk away to safety behind the laser before starting...
Karl,
Love to take you up on that offer. I knew you COULD file a manufacturers report, I've just never done it myself. I've always just used systems with variances. I've got an operators variance, so I'm good there. I've been working with lasers long enough, I've just always wanted to do the more fun stuff. But now that I'm not working for another laser company and am on my own, learning to submit the manufacturers variance would be a big help. Learning to do any of the paperwork to keep things above board would be helpful.
More videos soon..I hope....

Hey Matt;
How much were they, including shipping? Just curious.
