the efficiency of the dpss lasers is coupled to its thermal management. they absolutely drop power if they're too warm or too cold.

Ive never tried to fix a module before so my question to experienced here is how likely is for fan failure to decrease laser power? I just want to know the likelyhood of something else being wrong and me just being lucky with the power oming back to normal for now.
My guess is theres a heat sensor or something which controls the laser power and prevents overheating and damage.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
