Default The birth of my new projector

    Hey Guys,

I wanted to show you my newly build projector, any comments or tips are welcome of course

    The setup is as follows:

    Laserworld/CNI Red 250 mW, analoge 10 KHz
    Laserworld/CNI Green 150 mW, analoge 10 KHz
The scanners are gonna be the new laserworld 45k scanners, but they've got some delay, so you won't see them in the projector yet.

    The front of the projector

The back of the projector with the cooling, power connector & ILDA input

The bottom floor of the projector which houses all the PSU's and wiring

The top floor with the red & green module, the dichro (and the scanners in a while)

And with some sort of mirror I can already tease my neighbours with it

Please let me know what you think (good or bad )

    Thnx, Grtz FLoW

    Thumbs up

That's a nice looking rack box. The only issue I see, is that wood in the bottom you are attaching to? If yes, heat disapation may be a problem, if not and it's just a weird finish or reflection the it looks good. What lasers do you have in there?

    Thank you for your reaction

Actually it is wood, that's why I build the air channels in it. I've tested the modules at full power (analog 5 V) and full blanking (~10 KHz) for about an hour and they didn't get hot at all, but I'll keep it in mind when I run into problems

The laser modules also come from laserworld, I got a great deal with them with the oem-parts and the software. Actually they buy them from http://www.cnilaser.com/ in great numbers so they can give better prices

ghehe, that's what it says on the retail-pricelist

Their low-power (< 300 mW) are normally priced, I did some comparisons, and they just came out with the best power/price ratio.

Maybe they're just more expensive when it comes to high power laser modules and I didn't need those

In a few months I will be upgrading this projector with a 100 - 150 mW blue module, I'll also check your prices by then
