Default Pair of Laserwave single mode 640nm 350mW modules

I have for sale shortly (next week or two) a pair of Laserwave 640nm modules rated at 350mW (but doing around 380mW last time I checked)

They are comprised of a pair of diodes, combined with a PBS cube and cooled with a TEC.

1 module is exactly as original, with a combined PSU/driver and working exactly as the day I bought it.

The other module had a driver failure earlier this year, so I ordered a new one from Laserwave. Unfortunately, the wiring scheme was different between the drivers they sent me, which lead to one diode and Lasorb going up in smoke. Following some negotiations with Laserwave, they have supplied a replacement diode, Lasorb and a new PSU and driver (not the original combined one, but a newer design, as the old one wasn't produced any more), along with instructions on how to rewire the head.

I had planned to rebuild this second head, but I suspect someone may be happy to take it 'as is' with the spare parts and do the work themselves.

Here is a link to the thread where i first compared the 640 vs a 1.1 Watt 650nm module for brightness.

These were both bought from Rob Stanwax originally, when 640 first appeared, at not inconsiderable cost! Looking at goldenstar's price list, I can see the equivalent dual 638nm single mode module goes for 600USD now (~£400).

PM me if you'd like to negotiate on one or both of these modules, I'm thinking in the region of 300USD for the working one, maybe 225USD for the one needing rebuilding?

I'll see if I can get some pics up shortly, one is still in the projector, the other one (to be rebuilt) is a bit more accessible.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Ok, here's the bad one, showing the bad driver (will be donating the umbilical, as its got the connector for the head on it), plus the [still wrapped] 7.5V PSU and driver, the new 640nm 200mW diode and the Lasorb.
Stanley knife is there for scale. Head is (L/W/H) 102mm*58mm*48mm

Obviously, the good one is exactly the same but just with the 2 black lumps [and working]

I'm certain you could. You know it's bad when the Europe folk quote their prices in USD so I don't even have to calculate the currency conversion.

Oh, and i also have a brand new combined PSU/driver (the one that killed the diode) which I can sell. Nothing wrong with it, apart from it was wired differently from the one it was supposed to replace, hence the blown diode.
Has peltier, temp sense and diode drive. I think it cost me nearly 100USD by the time I'd paid for it and imported it. Make me an offer if you're interested so I can recoup some costs.

Ok, don't know if there's any interest or not, but if you are thinking about these but the price isn't quite right, drop me a PM with an offer or something. The worst I can say is no.
I guess most people doing single mode builds will be doing it all in one as a DIY project.
