one of the most frustrating things i find is dealing with
drilling / attaching / aligning , mirror and dichro mounts

precision drilling aint my thing

Im surprised no one has came up with a cheap mounting rail with
multiple 3 axis mounts , drill two holes for the rail and job done

most peoples mounts are i think typically in a row within
10-15cm of each other

Jeez throw in the dichros in it as a kit and job done , all in one each
to fit package

ok heres where i find such a thing IS available but i bet it costs
a exorbitant fortune ? I said CHEAP

Oh those are gorgeous but expensive , but with the mounts x 4 , the optic carriers x 4 + rail it gets expensive , OK if your building an OPSL system :-)

you could just use tslot get the 1/2" X 1" and some tnuts and that should work

Ok , i think i can visualize how that might work , however , what mounts could it work with
lot of research would need to be done to check things would all tie together etc

My original question /point was how surprised i am no-one has done the research and packaged
it all together ... i can see now the "easily mounted rail solution" has been available from newport / thorlabs
etc but their prices are aimed at industrial/university/research markets and at a rough calculation to do an RGB
setup using their rail , rail mounts , dichro mounts , mirror mounts you are easily
looking at upwards of 200gbp ( $300) , plus then the cost of mirrors and dichros

Yes their way of bouncing the beams about are gorgeous , exquisitely finished and no doubt ROCK solid in operation
but considering the drop in prices of dpss / diodes etc , steering the beams currently seems expensive from these
all in one sources , and even at that they have so many variations it would still be hard to know what to buy

So i go back to original assertion , im surprised no one has taken the pain and work out of this
and are selling a "package", of rail , mounts , dichros,mirror , maybe they will now ... :-)

i will be watching :-)
