Default im no longer a virgin

just had my first 520nm experience

handheld unit 100mW , very very interesting , last time i felt like this
was when i first connected an FB3 after using alphalite :-)

just something really satisfying and stable and piercing about the
colour , divergence pretty good although the dot is pretty huge even
    at apeture

looking forward to seeing either of the robs comparisions to 532nm
    in due course :-)

Overall pretty happy , next to stick it in the feezer and see how
    it likes the cold

In the beginning there was none. Then came the light - #1 UKLEM - 2007

Does anybody know if the prices will come down from $500 per diode, or expecting no change for a while ?

Oh, and congrats Lasermad and Edison

I'm just this moment realising I might be forced to go with 520 for a couple of rebuilds due to space issues :-/
Those CNI MGL-H heads seem very large all of a sudden!

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

They will come down but the magic word is quantity. Anyone out there that has 50000usd in his backpocket to do a groupbuy

Time to build that 6 watt 520nm or full RGB module

Yep, I think I'll be going for an all in one RGB solution using the 700mW 520 diode by the looks of it.

Ive just taken delivery of my first projector with 520nM inside - 2.6W of it in this occasion.

The first comment is that, whilst the yellow range is definitely narrower than with 532, it is certainly still there. The projector also has 2W of 637nM so plenty of red and the projector is doing oranges and yellows, no browns...
the 462 blue is rather nice too....
Time to upgrade the other projectors currently fitted with 2W dpss units me thinks.

I am not too keen on the yellows but all of my projectors are now running 520. It is still very green and a striking color at that. The cyans are a little more "argon"like. I dig it.
