    Default My Halloween Setup

Usually I set up a few small props in the yard and hang a screen in the garage with the laser projector behind it and play Halloween shows.
This Halloween I decided to step it up a little.
First off, everything is hand made except the skeletons.

The fence is made from old pallets I broke apart.
The grave stones are Styrofoam from a friends old hot tub cover and were carved using my homemade hot wire cutter. They were inspired by "The Nightmare Before Christmas".
The ghosts are white curtain shears over chicken wire and are externally lit with black light and internally lit with a red led tea light. It really gives it a nice two tone look. The pictures don't really do it justice.
The Grim Reaper is almost 9 ft tall and uses 1/2" metal conduit and 3/4" PVC as a frame. His robe is a painters drop cloth I dyed grey. His eyes are the same led tea light used under the ghosts. His lantern is an actual rail road lantern that I weathered and added green LEDs inside.
In the window is Mr. Oogie Boogie from "The Nightmare Before Christmas". It's a simple piece of cardboard cut out with his silhouette and tissue paper taped to the back. A red light inside gives it the glow.

I would love to see what everyone else did.

    Chris

    Very well done Lazerjock!

I did a little graveyard too, but I bought everything off the shelf (half price after halloween!)
Got a lot of comments about the spider, the pizza guy said it was terrifying.

On Halloween night I'll pull some arcade games out into the driveway and hand out full size candy bars, with beer/soda for the parents!

I've never lived in a neighborhood where we got trick or treaters or it would be of much use to go all out on something like this. At least I get to do it vicariously through you all. Looking good!

I don't have much. I bought some creepy videos of people that I display on a scrim in my window with a video projector so when people walk by it looks like ghosts are looking out my window. There are some sound effects and some of the ghosts will yell out you. I'll break out the fog machine for the front porch and if I have time tonight I'll break out the laser projector and project some images and text on my roof to get kid's attention. We have some lights and the typical dollar store stuff as well. If I had the space to store stuff I'd love to go all out like Chris.

Everything except the fence breaks down fairly small and gets thrown in the attic. The fence will stay outside between my shed and the house. The weathering will only help it look that much better next year.
