    with a little spatial filtering, you could shape it a little more round..

    Hi.

    Like to add come comments to. Yes. We did the 75 meter test of the first 520nm from Brightlight. And was really surprised to see the amazing work BL did in the low divergense of the 520nm green laser. Most other manufactors on the marked do mutch higher divergense (over 1 - 1.6mrad) at a 4 mm beam at aperture.

    First of all. Correct you can't compare the OPSL beam with the multimode laser.
    It was just to show the Brightlight source was coming closer to the beam divergence of the best green show laser (in our opinion) in the marked the Coherent OPSL.
    For the compare we took a 10W OPSL turned down to the same power level as the 520nm - 1.8W output (same as the 520nm). And shot both the 75 meter to a wall.

    The 520nm spec:
    4x4mm beam at aperture.
    70x50mm at 75 meter distance 0.88x0.61 mrad

    For "logsquared" here is the specs:
    The Coherent OPSL specs (from the datasheet coming with the source):
    10.6w @ 34.9 Amps
    Beam size and divergence: 2.2x1.4 mm @ 0.7x0.9mrad
    M2: 2.3x1.8
    But collimated it up to a ~5 mm beam we get the ~<40 mm beam at 75 meter distance = 0.46mrd divergence in full angle.

    For people that are interested we can deliver the module in 1 watt Red/637nm with low divergence , 9 watt blue in 1.1mrd divergence and in green up till 4 watt and 6 watt blue. This 6 watt blue can also be a "mix" of 445nm and 462nm. There is allot possible so feel free to ask questions if needed. The modules can be build "polarized" so you can combine them in the future to double the power.

    I believe that everything edison says is possible. The GaN diodes ( the 445, 462 and 520nm diodes are all GaN) have a very low divergence in the fast axis and if all the cross sectional area of the exit beam is used to deal with the higher divergence, slow axis then a low overall divergence is possible. The divergence in the fast axis is SO low in fact that you can afford to use a relatively short FL collimator to produce a very tiny output from the diode further allowing the slow axis to be highly expanded. The problem with such nice beam specs in a multi diode "composite" beam is that the co-alignment has to remain very tight.

    Thanks , in two weeks we will start doing higher power greens up till 4 watt in 0.8mrd and blue in 6 watt with 0.65mrd.These modules are Polarised so you can combine 2 of them.

    Since christmas is coming up we have made a special deal. Buy a 4 watt RGB set with 2 watt green/520nm, 1 watt/637nm and 1.6 watt blue and get the blue for free.
