You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?
I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
Nice build!
On red section, Do you obtain better beam profile with Plano-concave curved side towards diode? We usually orient PC flat side towards diode...
Planters had made a post awhile back about getting better results with some of the lenses reversed. I tried it with Dave's cylinders and some from Edmonds I had around. I could not get a improvement then. These lenses are from Edison. I saw a huge (20%) reduction in spot size with the PC reversed! I believe it may be due to the thickness of the edison PC lens. I think the thickness allowed the rapidly expanding beam to converge a lot inside the glass before hitting the curved side.
I want to try this also. I tried it with a single 300mm FL cylinder. It worked! But with a 4, 6, 8 power telescope I fear focusing all the spots may be harder. However, the telescope on the green and blue is much more tolerant of distance from the diodes so it may be possible.Want to try these setups soon. The idea is going with only ONE cylinder set correction for all diodes.
