suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
Alex I know the manufacturer might have told you this but it wont work like this.. its quite the process making sure something like this will be safe.
You need really thick beams with high divergence in most cases to make this safe.. That's why selling this is not recommended

I understand but.. would you assume your buyers will always do this?
Remember someone will be wearing this glove on his hand.. its not some machine.. and yes it can happen it can be aimed at people..by accident or because of lack of knowledge..
The problem people have with this is that the end user cannot be trusted with something as risky as this.. there is no safety stop.. there is no safety shutter and the list goes on in something like this.
We are doing this to help you and make it safe for everyone.
I would recommend returning this product to who-ever made it and get as much money back.. then look for something else.. low diffraction grating projector? Lumia projector with changable wheels?
ok. let's assume the following:
wavelength: 640nm
power 100mw (to keep the math a little simpler)
beam diameter 3mm
divergence 1 mrad
exposure time .25 seconds
the NOHD of the laser is 71 meters.
this figure is based on laser safety standards, IEC 60825-1:2007 and ANSI Z136.1-2007
