ID:	45791I have finally finished my500mw green portable projector.
Internal LifePO4 batteries power this projector for about 1 1/2 hours.
506 scanners, Modified red boards 1 lens, & 1 mirror gives it a very fine well controlled beam.
I optimized this laser for the best possible efficiency of DC power using a variety of dc/dc converters
adjusted to the needs of each system.
The total power consumption running an animation at 500mw out the window and 8*+ scan width is 60 Watts.

Besides the normal safety systems, this projector senses motion and will shut down rapidly if it is moved beyond a
very limited range. It s therefore functionally inoperable as any kind of "Pointing Device".. This same system locks
the projector in shutdown condition and only a certain sequence of tilts and rotations will unlock it.

A few pictures. I will provide more details in time.

that case is nothing short of beautiful!

you should acid etch some artwork into it.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Thank you Swamidog, That s what I wll be doing with my cnc machine.
The panels are copper, brass and copper nickel and definitely will be decorated. (And add basic labels to switches etc) ALSO I need to imprint the necessary
    warning labels ...
    I haved developed a process
to engrave and machine metal, than fill and cure with deeply dyed resins
to create an image and then plane and polish the surface.
Right now, I am happy to have it all totally enclosed.Click image for larger version.

Very cool. I have thought about making a couple of battery powered projectors.
I'd be interested in knowing more about your power system and what components you are using for voltage conversion/regulation for the scanner amps

    Cheers

how about a drone mounted synrad 100w IR laser for deer hunting. Kill, cut and seal all in one. Makes retrieval a breeze and locks the juices in.

    Neutrino
For the scanners I use use two Delta Electronics S24DE12001NDFA Isolated.
Each one will output 24 vdc at 1.25A Which run the 506 scanners perfectly well.

It is important to bypass the inputs and output of each converter with appropriate low ESR polymer and
stacked ceramic capacitors. These power supplies are the smallest 1" X 1" and most efficient that can be had
at this time Price of $42.00 from Digikey (digikey part # 941-1597-ND)

Not likely to find a drone big enough to carry this puppy...It weighs 15 LBS!

Laserbiker, thanks for the part number.
Power isn't my strong point - how did you wire it all together? (if you don't mind sharing)

    Cheers

Although its good to see you have a laser in there, I would like it even if you said it was your brief case! To combine that enclosure with future inlaid graphics and a slick, portable, low power projector is elegant. Nice!

Thanks for looking and the kind comments. I am sharing this as a motivation to all of you builders out there to try
pushing the envelope of what a projector cab be.. Anyway have fun and DO be safe.
Specific questions I am happy to answer but I can not build or design one for you
