    this may help you or maybe not its 2 programs with source code for creating thumbnails maybe you can see how he is reading and displaying the thumbnail and use that info to thumbnail ild's

    Thanks. I had planned on doing something like that for ILDA files but got busy with other things. I'll take a look at the link you provided and see what is involved.
