Oh I getcha point. I have a few jobs each year that I do for the crack and because the crew are great and we always have a good time. And they always seem to lead to other things.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

With the value of the pound versus the dollar, if there were enough dates on this tour in a short enough period of time to make it worthwhile, hell I'd consider bringing the gear over the pond and doing it for 500 pounds per show. That's about $825 US dollars per event. With cheap lodging and inexpensive food and the chance to spend a couple months in the UK for next to nothing, I'd be all over it. When you think about what I make per hour at my real job and compare it to what you could make doing this AND spend a couple months in the UK, for the right person, it could be a good deal.

I think if this were for projectors in the 3-5W range it'd be more realistic. 12W+ is a fairly hefty investment, and this job wants multiples of them.
Its really a job for the hobbyists, but hobbyists are unlikely to have the higher powered gear.
Conversely, a company with many 12W+ projectors on the books is likely to be full time, and probably busy for a long term tour commitment.

Its a low ball budget. With such low profit a hobbyist could do it but he would be doing it for fun with the hours at the event not being payed. That is the same as working for free for an employer. Ask an average guy if he wants to go to his work every day and work for no payment. Pretty sure the answer will be :F....K OFF and they are right. A company would laugh at this budget and a hobbyist can,t afford 12W projectors if this is going to be the price level. Its funny because hobbyists want to have dirtcheap parts and the event managers take advantage of that

Cheap doesn,t make the world go around.........

    You will need at least-

    (2) 12+ Watt RGB's (I quoted (3) 20 Watt RGB's) LEGITIMATE RGB's). Not 18 watts of blue and a few mW here and there of other colors.
    high output foggers

This is a pretty rich list for a group that is raising money for charity. This doesn't invalidate it, but some of these "charity events" can be multimillion dollar productions. Does the economizing pertain to everything? For example, does security get paid a reduced wage?
