Question Question about fans and LD drivers in same PSU

    Hi all

Itīs ok to connect in the same PSU 2 fans and 3 Flexmod P3 drivers?
The PSU is 12Volts 3.75 Amps. So for this is ok.(I think)
But spikes or noise of the fans can kill the LDs.?

In some cases of noisier motors I believe a .1mf solve the problem, for this application is the same?
Sorry if this is already discussed or stupid but for my peace of mine I have to ask.

    Thanks and cheers,
    Ed

Andrew (the guy that created the Flexmod P3 driver) was distributing a large electrolytic capacitor with later versions of the P3 to help smooth out any voltage ripple in the supplied DC power to the driver.

If you install one of these capacitors (I can't remember what it needed to be rated at - maybe someone else can post - but I think it was around 220 microfarad) on the power input to the flexmods, and then you put the smaller .1 microfarad caps on the fans, I feel confident that you won't have any problems.

Thanks for all the info Adam.

So no scary stories about killer fans (just my stupid finger).

    Thanks and cheers,
