Jon you make me laugh, and I truly look forward to the day I can shake your hand.

i wouldn't post something that was NSFW.

however, once it has been seen, it cannot be unseen.

Robs stuff makes the hobby affordable
Yes, it really helps to be able to change the ratios independently. Also, it's nice to be able to adjust the polarisation so you can minimise the reflection from the glass plate (assuming the emulsion is on the rear surface). Oh, wait a minute... That requires three halfway plates

Rob.... ROB.......... I need another halfway plate please sir

I'd not considered the reflection from the plate Jem. I'm guessing it's the reference beam you adjust the polarization on?

Rob, I received the parts and they work great, thank you. I built myself a little mount for the half wave plate, photo attached.

    Kind Regards

Yes indeed, if you can adjust the polarisation on the reference beam, and you get your light hitting the plate at Brewster's angle (~56 degrees), then you can cut reflected light to virtually zero. Of course, this is a very good thing as more light gets through to the emulsion.

    Cheers
