Got a faulty unit here, noisy output and does not make a difference whether Ophir head is plugged in or not. Something about a faulty dc-dc converter? Pay for shipping and it's yours for free. I think shipping is about $25 from South Africa to the world. obviously does not come with ophir head

Is that the one I sold you. if so the problem like I stated is the cable is bad. If you put a capacitor on the DC to DC converter you will stop the noise.
Despite the rats nest wiring the meter itself is in good working order and the noise on the Converter is not that bad .The Firmware upgrade Trevor put on there filters it out.
