Default Patience is a virtue - The HGM-20S Laser Saga

This a continuation of my HGM-20 Argon Laser saga:

    http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ghlight=hgm-20

Over a year ago, I brought home a HGM-20S Endocoagulator. I had no way to test it prior to purchase and when I brought it home, the tube did not light.

After several very helpful responses from the Photonlexicon family ("mixedgas", "buffo", and "dsli_jon"), we determined that the tube was up for air

Typically it ends there and this being a very rare laser, hopes of finding a replacement tube, at a reasonable price, was very slim. The laser sat in the corner of the garage gathering dust.

Today, I am happy to say that I took delivery of an intact (verified with an Oudin coil prior to purchase and today after opening the shipping container) replacement HGM-20 tube!

I'll post picture after I install the tube and connect the power supply. Hopefully the tube will light.

Its a light mode laser, so make sure the light pickoff is installed.
